About Jack
Jack comes from a private home training facility, where he's getting plenty of one-on-one attention and learning the ropes. Born early 2024, he's still young but steadily moving toward adulthood. Jack is neutered, vaccinated, and catching on fast to basic skills in his daily training sessions; he'll transition best to an adopter who can keep up these habits (and he comes with a year of free training to help out). He missed out on some early socialization as a small puppy, so he tends to be shy and is startled by loud noises or quick movements from strangers, but he recovers quickly with the right reassurance and, frankly, a little food goes a long way in helping him feel secure. Jack's friendly nature really shines through once he trusts youβhe loves getting pets and will happily tag along for long hikes, always ready for an evening snuggle. He barks from time to time but isn't aggressive; he's never shown signs of biting or growling. Jack enjoys meeting other dogs but is most comfortable as the only dog in the home. He's both house trained and crate trained, and he's working on his obedience every day. Come see if Jack is the right fit for your life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Jack
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
The Cattle Dog breed, like Jack, does best in an active home with space to burn off energy. Jack would thrive with an adopter who enjoys outdoor activities and can give him the exercise and mental engagement he needs.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cattle Dogs like Jack typically need a good amount of outdoor space, such as a yard or frequent access to parks. They are high-energy dogs and benefit from safe, open areas where they can run and play.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Cattle Dogs can be good with children, Jack's shy temperament and tendency to startle easily mean he may do best in a calm environment without young kids. Older, respectful children could be a better match for him.
