About Murray
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Introducing Murray, the big, happy hound mix with a gentle giant’s heart! Born in early summer 2023, Murray has spent his time growing up in loving foster care, hoping for the perfect forever home. This easygoing boy will thrive with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and run to his heart’s content; he enjoys the outdoors but especially loves lounging in a fenced yard more than strolling the neighborhood. While he’s discovered a new love for daily walks, Murray is truly a homebody who will be your loyal sidekick for movie nights and relaxed afternoons. Murray is already microchipped, potty trained, and current on vaccinations. He could happily be an only dog or share his space with another calm companion. Murray adores small puppies and tiny toys, and he does best around kids aged eight or older. His foster family says Murray must be adopted by someone who’s willing to maintain his beloved routines—especially his nightly carrot snack and his preference for warm, heavy blankets or multiple flat sheets inside his crate. Bed lovers beware: Murray prefers a pile of blankets over a traditional dog bed! He’s not suited to dog park play or high-energy environments, but he’s packed with love, joy, and laughter to brighten your days. If you’re searching for a big-hearted dog who brings humor, warmth, and unwavering loyalty, Murray is a perfect match, ready for his happily ever after. We only adopt to homes and families in NC and SC. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
