About Sailor
? Meet Sailor — The Drunken Sailor with a Heart of Gold! ?? Ahoy, future family! ? Meet Sailor, a 3-year-old, 58-pound bundle of love, goofiness, and resilience. This handsome boy may “walk like a drunken sailor,” but don’t let his wobbly swagger fool you — he’s full of joy, courage, and mischief in the best way possible! ? Stats & Credentials: • Neutered, vaccinated, and ready to report for duty. • 58 lbs of pure cuddle energy. • House-training: In progress and improving fast! (He rocks his belly band like a champ.) • Crate-trained superstar — sleeps soundly and keeps things tidy while you’re away. • Treat-motivated and oh-so-happy-go-lucky! ? A Little Backstory: When Sailor was discovered at a local shelter, he was heartbreakingly on the euthanasia list because of his “neurological quirks.” But fate (and a very determined foster parent) had other plans! District 5 Alliance swooped in to save him just in time ? — and the rest is happy-tail history. After some vet visits and a neurological consultation, we learned that Sailor doesn’t have a degenerative condition — he likely had an early-life “oopsie” to the brain, making him uniquely adorable and delightfully wobbly. Think of him as your own personal pirate with a lopsided compass. ???? ? Ideal Home: Because Sailor’s mobility can be a little unsteady, he’s best suited for a home without stairs (he’s working on going down 4 steps — but hey, we all have limits). He’s also deaf, which means you can enjoy midnight snacks without an audience ?, though he probably won’t be much help guarding them. ? Social Life: • Gets along well with other dogs (big and small) with proper intros — he’s currently living his best life with two large foster siblings. • Kid-friendly, but better with older kids — Sailor’s wobbly swagger might accidentally knock over a toddler, and his curious snoot can’t resist exploring shiny toys! ?? • He’s curious, funny, and has the soul of a puppy explorer. ? Why You’ll Love Him: Sailor’s quirks make him unforgettable — from his adorable “march” to his happy tail wiggles that could power a small boat. He doesn’t need pity — he needs someone who sees his charm, his resilience, and his incredible zest for life. He’s not your average dog… he’s a reminder that sometimes, the imperfect ones make life perfectly beautiful. ??
