About Zena

Zena is fully vetted, spayed, and current on all vaccinations. She’s a quirky cat who thrives on her own terms. Zena loves to roll over and invite you to rub her belly—on her schedule. If she wants attention, she’ll coo and chirp until you notice her. She isn’t impressed by large dogs and has no problem letting them know with a quick swat. Other cats, however, are often treated to her sweet invitations to play. Zena is affectionate when she comes to you but doesn’t like being scooped up from the floor before you're acquainted. Treats are the key to her heart: temptations will bring out her happy paws, and she’ll make the cutest vocalizations when she suspects a snack might be coming. She enjoys being brushed, especially with a furminator, and spends hours lounging in sunny windows. Crinkle mats, catnip pillows, and toys are her favorite ways to burn energy. Zena does best in a home without too much chaos or too many pets, as she has idiopathic cystitis that’s managed well with a special diet and inexpensive medication. She’s house trained and does great with children and other cats, but not with dogs. Local adoption only within a 55-mile radius of Lockport, NY. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
