About Frankie

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Frankie, the one-eyed wonder bursting with love and laughter! Frankie’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit remains indomitable. This beautiful, adult mixed-breed girl, with her signature permanent wink—she lost one eye but gained extra charm—has been waiting far too long for her happily-ever-after at DFW FurGotten Friends. Frankie’s wagging tail and constant smile are truly heartwarming. She thrives on human affection, especially from older children, and her joy is absolutely contagious. Frankie lights up every room she enters and is a devoted companion who loves water, car rides with the wind in her ears, exploring nature, cuddle sessions, and lively games of fetch. While Frankie is currently the only pet at her safe, new boarding facility, her past trauma—involving unsafe handling in a previous environment—means she’s wisely labeled for a single-animal home. However, with very slow, patient introductions, it’s possible she could coexist with other dogs or cats in the right situation. Frankie is spayed, vaccinated, incredibly smart, and emotionally resilient. Transport is available out of state. She deserves a warm, loving home for her golden years—a comfy couch, a patient family, and endless snuggles. By adopting Frankie, you’re not only making her dream come true but also opening space to save another life in Texas, where so many dogs like her are often overlooked. Think you are the one?
