About Captain
Captain is an easygoing beagle/shepherd mix, about 11 years old, looking for either a long-term foster or a secure, loving home. He’s a classic ‘good ol’ boy’: healthy, housetrained, and content with a calm routine. Captain lives peacefully with other dogs but would rather have his person all to himself—unless there’s a cat roommate, since he’s previously bonded with a feline friend. He’s fine solo during the day, never gets on the furniture, and sticks to his own toys. Captain thrives on belly rubs, rides in the car, a bit of ball chasing, and loves being brushed. He has a soft spot for kids, babies, and kitties, though chickens aren’t a good fit. Thunderstorms, baths, hair dryers, and vacuum cleaners rank low on his list—he’ll happily stick to showers and towel drying. Captain’s looking for a peaceful home with someone who’s ready for a steady, loyal companion to share quiet moments and gentle affection. Start your journey together! Apply now.
