About Captain
Click apply to start the adoption process. Captain is an adorable, healthy younger senior—a beagle/shepherd mix, around 9 or 10 years old—who is searching for a long-term foster or loving forever home. While he has lived peacefully alongside other dogs in the past, Captain prefers a dog-free household where he doesn’t have to share his person’s attention. Cats, however, are more than welcome, as he’s had several feline friends and gets along great with them. This calm, easygoing guy is perfectly content being left alone and is fully housebroken. He doesn’t climb on furniture or chew on things he shouldn’t, making him an ideal companion. Captain loves car rides, chasing balls, getting belly rubs, being brushed, spending time with kids and babies, and of course, cuddling up with kitties. He’s not a fan of thunderstorms, traditional baths (although showers are fine), hair dryers, or vacuum cleaners, and he’s just a bit too interested in chickens, so he’d do best in a home without poultry. Born on May 24, Captain is a Gemini—meaning he brings a playful spirit and lots of charm to your life! Captain is your classic good ol' boy just hoping for a peaceful home with someone to love and care for him in return. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
