About Hedwig the Owl
Hedwig The Owl is finally learning to appreciate the good things in life after years of neglect. She spent her early years with someone who never really wanted her, which left her anxious and withdrawn. When she arrived at rescue, Hedwig was shy and hesitant, flinching at touch and struggling with both eating and moving around comfortably. Good vet care and a patient foster family changed her trajectory. She now lights up at chin scratches, follows her foster wherever they go, and loves joining in for a chat in the bathroom—or perching on the sink to purr and nudge for attention. She’s blossomed into a loving and gentle companion, craving closeness with her favorite person. Hedwig is not fond of other cats and is best off as the only feline in your home. She deals with some arthritis in her hind legs but manages well; just remember she prefers head and chin rubs and needs a little extra help grooming her thick coat. Her ideal day includes window-watching, a quiet spot in the closet, and plenty of affection. Hedwig has started to trust and is ready for a steady, kind home where she can continue her transformation. Think you can keep showing her life has soft places to land? They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
