About Hedwig The Owl
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Hedwig the Owl is a 7-8 year old beauty who is just now uncovering the joys life has to offer. From a kitten gifted into a situation where she wasn’t wanted, Hedwig endured years of neglect and loneliness. By the time she entered the care of her current rescue, she was timid and wary, often flinching at gentle touches and struggling to eat, with dull eyes and weakness in her hind legs. With patient care and lots of love in her foster home, Hedwig slowly started to open up. Now, her eyes are full of light, she loves chin scratches, and she follows her foster mom everywhere. Although Hedwig has blossomed, she prefers to be the only cat in her new home. She’s searching for a special person who can continue to show her what happiness feels like and give her the loving companionship she has always deserved. Her hind-end weakness has been identified as neglected arthritis, but she manages to get around just fine and especially enjoys being petted near her head. With her thick coat, daily brushing keeps her comfortable and helps manage hairballs caused by overgrooming. She delights in window-watching, tends to sleep in cozy closets, and makes a charming bathroom companion by gently nudging for affection at the sink. This precious girl is eager to bond with someone who can offer her a gentle, patient, and loving forever home. Fun fact: With a birthday on December 20, Hedwig is a Sagittarius! Sagittarius cats are known for their adventurous spirit and curiosity, even if it sometimes takes time to show it. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
