About Deputy
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Deputy’s journey began in a rundown shack, where he and his siblings fought to survive harsh conditions with their feral mother. When found, Deputy’s start in life was challenging, but thanks to dedicated rescuers, he now has a second chance at security and love. This clever, curious pup harbors a bashful streak but yearns to play and keep watch over his people—he’s alert, observant, and protective, with a personality as unique as his coonhound markings and adorable basset hound build. He’s won hearts with his sweet, expressive eyes and his one-of-a-kind look reminiscent of Paw Patrol’s Chase. Deputy gets along nicely with dogs of any age or size and has even been introduced to cats while keeping his distance. He’ll need a compassionate, patient adopter or foster who understands the needs of shy dogs and who can help build his trust and confidence at his own pace. A safely fenced yard is required, and support from the rescue is included for any transition needs. Deputy will truly blossom with dedicated one-on-one attention and, once comfortable, will reward his hero with loyalty and love. For those interested in astrological fun, Deputy was born on January 10, making him a steadfast Capricorn, known for loyalty and perseverance. He is currently being fostered with care in Rutledge, GA. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
