Are you looking for a duo of sweet, silly, silky girls? If so, you’ve made it to the right page! Friday (tux) and October (calico) - two 7-month-old sisters were rescued after being dumped on the streets of East LA. Both girls are healthy and ready for their forever home! Hobbies include horsing around with their foster’s resident cats, napping on fresh laundry straight out of the dryer, and chirping at birds and bugs from the many window perches in their house. With her expressive amber eyes and calm(er) demeanor, October is an old soul, preferring to watch Friday for guidance before she gets into anything new. But don’t let her cautiousness fool you! This little lady is brave, and energetic - she’s just more tactful about her approach. She loves to snuggle, and will purr super loud if you massage her paws. She also loves to meet new people - bonus points if you have a treat in your hand! On the other hand, Friday is the more extroverted, impulsive of the two. She is ready to jump into anything new at a moment’s notice - a bag, a basket, an empty cardboard soda container. She is the real life “if it fits, I sits” meme! She loves chasing my cats around (don’t worry, they love it too!). I feel like she could run for hours on a hamster wheel! Besides frolicking, Friday also likes to rest with her human and cat pals. She loves being groomed by my cats, and enjoys a firm chin scratch. Friday also enjoys meeting new people - and loves a treat, just like her sister. These beauties are confident, friendly, and very ready to come home with you! They have been a lovely addition to their foster mom’s household, and it warms her heart to know they’re going to make other people happy very, very soon. Don’t miss out on these two! We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
