Midnight is a shy kitty who's looking for a quiet, loving home with the right family to show her love and gentle patience so she can blossom into the sweet girl she is. She would love to go home with foster sister Evie. Found alone stuck between two concrete walls, hungry, and covered in fleas, she had a rough start and is still learning to trust humans, but she adores other cats, lighting up around her feline friends. She feels most confident when she has a buddy by her side who shows her that people are safe! She is very playful with other cats and seeks out both adult and kitten companions, but prefers to sleep alone, either in a hidden corner or high up where she can keep watch. She does like to be pet, and currently prefers being near people to being held, but she's very food motivated and with a little churu and time, she can reward you with quiet affection and the joy of watching her come out of her shell. She is drawn to people with calm, quiet energies and would probably do best in a dog-and child-free home. If she could pick our a movie to watch with you, it would be Amélie. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
