Berne Y
AvailableBerne is a male, medium-sized Australian Shepherd mix with a beautiful black coat, currently under the care of Dallas DogRRR. He is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has special needs due to a compressed spine, though it doesn't affect his happiness or ability to enjoy life.
About Berne Y
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Berne means 'bear-like,' and this adorable boy certainly lives up to his name with his endearing, bear-like waddle! Though he's irresistibly cute and famously tailless, Berne came to attention because his back end looked a bit compressed. After a thorough examination and x-rays, it's confirmed he has a compressed spine—a condition sometimes seen in certain breeds. While his breed is a mystery, this is something he'll live with, but rest assured, he's not in pain and continues to act just like a typical puppy. Berne might do best in a home with older kids to help make sure he's safe and not accidentally knocked around, but don't let that stop you—he is eager for a loving family. He's already mastering potty, crate, and leash training, which adds to his charm. His favorite pastimes include a good tug of war game, chewing on bully sticks, and amusingly pestering his foster siblings. Berne enjoys brief bursts of energetic play each day and is otherwise a very relaxed pup. The vet thinks he'll settle at about 30 pounds when fully grown. This sweet and special boy was found as a stray in a park, and now he is looking for a forever home where he can thrive and be loved. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
