About Baker
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Baker—the loaf with a heart of gold. If you're searching for a six-year-old gentleman who brings the emotional depth of a movie hero and the cozy comfort of your favorite weighted blanket, Baker is the perfect companion. He's seen some tough days, enduring multiple shelter stays and abandonment, but he's truly learned to embrace the joys of a softer life. These days, Baker is thriving. He's potty trained, kid-approved (he adores his tiny human soulmate), and a champion of the couch-loaf lifestyle. An expert cuddler, his favorite place is right in your lap, and he remains gentle even in the face of curious little hands. He's great on a leash and has backyard bathroom skills down to a science, plus he's a wonderful lovebug who is slowly getting more comfortable napping on his own, though he'd much prefer to be close by. Around the house, Baker is calm and eager to please, especially when treats are in the mix. He’s known for his dramatic snore, frequent toots, and his signature one-ear flop—plus, he loves destuffing dragon plushies. If you must leave, he'll serenade you with a "baby cry" and may even leap baby gates in pursuit of his person. Baker isn't searching for a crate; he dreams of a warm bed, preferably yours. Currently being treated for heartworms, Baker is recovering swiftly and will soon be 100% ready for meet and greets. He’s made incredible emotional progress—what was once timidness is now replaced with irresistible full-body wiggles and trust. Above all, Baker longs for a human who won’t ever give up on him, and he can shower with loyal, goofy love. He's got a past, but his future can be filled with joy in the right home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
