About Eeyore
Meet Eeyore. Eeyore has been searching for a place to call home for a long time—almost two years in rescue, with another year before that in a no-kill shelter. His story is marked by resilience. Eeyore craves attention and wants to be with his person as much as possible. He’s a big fan of car rides, pup cups, and simply hanging out. He’s lazy by nature, happiest stretched out on his favorite chair, but also playful when he senses the mood. Eeyore does resource guard; he’ll nip if he feels something important to him is threatened. He will trade for a treat, but prefers not to have things taken from him or pushed. Potential adopters need to understand resource guarding and be prepared to continue helping Eeyore navigate this. He enjoys showing off his toys and gives gentle taps with them but wants to set the boundaries. Eeyore can live with other animals, provided resource guarding is managed. He’s become something of a mascot at Barking Lots Boarding & Daycare, but what he’s missing is his own person. He deserves a loving, experienced home where his quirks are met with patience and understanding. Start your journey together! Apply now.
