About Sunny
This could be the start of something paw-some. Sunny is a 1-year-old, 30-pound Terrier mix with a story that truly tugs at the heartstrings. After surviving abandonment and incredible hardships, Sunny was the only survivor among his family, battling through the toughest conditions before finally making his way to safety. When rescued, he was frightened and wary of people, but under loving foster care, he began a remarkable journey toward trust and healing. In his foster home, Sunny has learned to enjoy the company of other dogs and even finds comfort in cats, often curling up with them for naps. Over time, patience and gentle understanding have helped Sunny discover the joys of belly rubs, snuggling, and being called back inside after potty breaks. While he was initially nervous around men, he's started to accept their affection with a slow and careful approach and has steadily become more comfortable. Sunny will thrive in a calm, steady environment with a quiet, patient adopter ready to let him adjust at his own pace. He finds confidence in other dogs and does best in a home with a friendly canine companion, as he learns from observing and following their lead. A peaceful household without young children is ideal, and a female adopter (or a patient home where bonding with men can occur gradually) will help him blossom further. Opening your heart and home to Sunny means witnessing a transformation—watching a once-broken spirit glow with new-found trust and happiness. If you have the commitment and compassion to walk him through his final steps to complete confidence and love, Sunny may just be the hero’s companion you’ve been searching for. Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?

Questions about Sunny
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Terriers are typically adaptable and do well in both houses and apartments, provided they get enough exercise and mental stimulation. They thrive in environments where they are part of the family and included in daily activities.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Most terriers are energetic and benefit from regular outdoor time, such as daily walks and playtime in a secure yard, but they don't require a large yard as long as their exercise needs are met.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Terriers can be suitable for homes with older, respectful children who understand how to interact gently with dogs. Their lively nature may be overwhelming for very young kids without supervision.
