Nala and her five kittens were lucky to be found by a kind stranger who made sure they landed somewhere safe. Her life outdoors, especially as a first-time mom, left its mark—a small scar on her nose—but didn’t dull her sweetness. Nala is still young herself, about 8 or 9 months old, and weighs just 7 pounds, which isn’t much more than her growing kittens. She’s quick to greet humans and always happy for a scratch behind the ears, but not quite a lap cat yet. Having only been off the streets for a short time, she’s still learning the comforts of home and appreciating regular meals. Her black and white coat and striking eyes turn heads, and she carries herself with a quiet resilience. Nala hasn't been around adult cats or dogs in foster care, but with time and gentle introductions, she should do well. She gets along with other cats, dogs, and children.
