About Sutherland
Sutherland is about 8 years old and carries the weight of her past with quiet dignity. She landed in rescue after animal control found her abandoned for several days without food or water, a situation no dog should endure. Despite this, her early life was clearly shaped by someone who cared for her — she’s house trained, crate trained, and knows commands like sit, down, shake, and even perks up at 'do you want to go bye-bye?'. Sutherland bears a few marks of hardship: old fly bites on her ears, evidence of past ear infections, and a permanently crinkled right ear from an untreated hematoma. Yet, her spirit hasn't dimmed. She blends into homes with other dogs, regardless of their size or temperament, but draws the line at cats. Her main currency is affection — she's obedient, easygoing, and leans in for attention, belly rubs, and just gazing at her people. Sutherland is friendly with kids and adults, and she genuinely wants to be part of someone’s life again. She narrowly escaped euthanasia, and now, after all she's endured, deserves a secure, loving home willing to give her a real second chance. Remember, like any new pet, she'll need some time to settle in. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
