About Lorie Darlin

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Lorie Darlin is a gentle sweetheart who’s finding comfort and confidence in her foster home after being rescued. At about 40 pounds and fully grown, this lovely, short-coated girl may be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, she opens up with affection and adores belly rubs. She enjoys walks (though could use a bit of leash training), adores lounging on soft blankets, and loves a good game of fetch. Lorie is fully kennel trained and sleeps quietly through the night—sometimes outlasting her foster mom’s alarm clock! She knows how to sit and is learning to shake, and she’s proven she can be trusted alone at home for extended periods without any issues. While Lorie is selective about her canine friends and needs a cautious, slow introduction with new dogs, she coexists well with the dogs she knows after some time. She thrives in a patient home that allows her to adjust at her own pace. Lorie is not well-suited to homes with cats or small critters but demonstrates her loyal, loving nature, especially with children. She’s sure to be an amazing companion for the right person or family. People born on January 1 fall under the sign of Capricorn, known for their loyalty and steady determination—just like Lorie!
