About Buttercup

Buttercup’s story took an unfortunate turn, through no fault of her own. She came into rescue as a young, lively, social Pit Bull Terrier who loved meeting new people and originally did well with other dogs. Recently, her world changed after a traumatic encounter with another dog left her injured and shook her confidence around other dogs. Her prior owner tried everything to help, but ultimately brought Buttercup back to the rescue to give her a real chance at safety and happiness. Despite everything, Buttercup hasn't lost her loving, energetic spirit when it comes to people. She thrives on human attention and companionship. However, she now needs a home where she is the only dog, at least for now, to rebuild her sense of security. Buttercup does not get along with cats, but she is good with children. She is house trained, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a new chapter in a home that can help her heal. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
