About Roger

Roger is a two-year-old pittie mix who’s already survived more than his share of hardship. Before ever making it to the shelter, he was rescued from a tough situation—living in a hotel room, stuck in a crate alongside two other dogs. Even through all that, Roger stayed sweet and gentle, quietly waiting for someone to notice him. Things nearly took a turn for the worse when he landed on the euthanasia list at a local Orlando shelter, but he was pulled out just in time. Once safe, he faced another hurdle: gastroenteritis that landed him in the ER. After a week of dedicated medical foster care, Roger bounced back—his bloodwork is clear, and he’s healthy and strong now. Roger loves people and is happiest surrounded by humans of all ages, including kids. While he’s been with dogs before and has potential, he’s still learning how to introduce himself. His best fit right now would be as an only dog or with very slow, thoughtful introductions to another canine companion. This affectionate, resilient boy just wants the comfort and safety of a real home so he can relax and be loved as he deserves. Roger is finally ready to start his next chapter in a true forever home.
