About June
Click apply to start the adoption process. June is an irresistibly sweet pit mix who has made a wonderful impression on the staff. He settles in quickly to new environments and especially loves spending time with children, even the younger ones. His playful side shines through when he energetically bats around his food bowl if he finds it empty, showing his quirky sense of humor. June originally came from someone in the Houston area who rescues animals, but he didn’t get along as well with the birds and some other rescues in the home. Since his arrival, he’s shown a great attitude and adjusted right away to both the staff and the new surroundings. While his previous caretaker said he did well with other dogs, June hasn’t yet been introduced to the other resident dogs here, though he’s been calm and open with people and on leash walks. House-training is no issue—June is completely reliable! It’s important to note June’s gentle, even nature, although there are a couple of situations that can trigger his anxiety, like being muzzled or going to the vet. He's also a big guy who may accidentally topple young children during play. If you have questions about his personality or needs, please reach out for more details! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
