About Jalapeno
Jalapeno started life in the shadow of a Tex-Mex restaurant, found frightened with his siblings and mom as a tiny kitten. After more than a year in foster care, he’s grown into an independent, low-maintenance adult cat who appreciates his space. Jalapeno enjoys some nighttime affection—the best time for pets and snuggles is right before bed—but mostly, he’s happy to hang back and do his own thing. He’s content as a solo cat, could join a home with another friendly kitty, or would love to be adopted with his brother Nacho for extra comfort. Homes with dogs or children aren’t a fit for him. Jalapeno will need a gentle adopter with patience, someone experienced with shy cats and willing to give him the time and space to build trust. He’s quiet, gentle, and genuinely wants love, he just takes a while to hand it out. Whoever takes a chance on Jalapeno will find a quiet, loyal companion waiting beneath his reserved shell.
