About Churu

Churu is a two-year-old male cat working through the transition from outdoor life to being a true indoor companion. He survived a coyote attack and since then has decided that cozying up indoors is more his speed. At first, Churu keeps his distance and needs time to settle in, but he's proven to be gentle and affectionate once he feels secure. He enjoys sitting close, purring, and will chirp in the mornings to say hello, greeting you with headbutts. Despite his initial shyness, Churu is tolerant and accepting of handling—he doesn’t mind being picked up or examined, even by the vet. His new family should be patient and experienced, willing to give him the time and space he needs to open up. Churu has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, microchipped, and SNAP tested. He is FIV-positive, which means he must remain exclusively indoors, and any resident cats should have their vaccines up to date; careful, slow introductions are important. Churu’s ability to get along with other animals and children is still being evaluated. Give Churu a chance at a safe, loving home—he is worth the wait. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
