About Bruno
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Bruno's journey with the rescue began over six months ago, when he and his littermates were surrendered after being found alone and in need of urgent care. Bruno faced serious health challenges, including parvo, distemper, flea and tick infestations, and jaundice. Thanks to dedicated care, Bruno regained his health, but his recovery came with behavioral challenges due to lack of early socialization, including resource guarding with his main caretaker. To help him succeed, Bruno completed over two weeks at a board and train program where he learned crucial skills such as leash walking and commands including 'leave it,' 'let's go,' 'hold,' and 'good boy Bruno.' Bruno is a working breed, believed to be a German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix, weighing about 75 pounds with a short coat in beautiful bicolor, sable, and red tones. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Bruno does best with large dogs, and will require a mandatory meet-and-greet with his trainer (based in Los Angeles) to ensure a smooth transition into his new home. Due to his prey drive, Bruno is not suited for homes with cats or other small animals. He needs an experienced handler who can provide daily exercise (at least 2β3 miles of walks) and consistent implementation of his commands, as he truly thrives in a structured environment. Forming a bond with Bruno involves earning his trust and providing him with the dedicated attention he needs. Bruno comes with extra support: 30 days of free post-adoption help through Petcademy.org and one week of complimentary professional dog training with Good Pup. This thoughtful support includes access to expert trainers and helpful resources to ensure Bruno's transition into your home is as smooth as possible. Click apply to start the adoption process.
