Char and his brother Coal showed up near our pond as puppies. Char was dominant and intimidating to his brother so we eventually separated them into different yards. He is currently in a large yard with a female dog and he does great with her and there is no fighting. He’s high energy and alert. He has a guard dog type of look, though he’s not aggressive to people. He does want to please and is affectionate. I don’t trust him around cats and wild animals. Catahoulas tend to be somewhat predatory though not toward People
