Laverne is a sweet and affectionate dog with a gentle nature. She is an adult dog with a heart as big as she is. Laverne is very loyal to those she trusts and very smart. Unfortunately, she has heartworms which are expensive to treat but the shelter will pay for her treatment thru our vet and if you choose to do slow kill will send her with her meds for 1 year. Laverne's previous living situation is unknown, but we do know she’s sufferer years off neglect. Her ears alone tell the story of suffering and neglect she’s endured . If you are looking for a loyal companion, who will stick by your side, Laverne is the one for you. Laverne is doing great in her home with her foster cats/dogs. She also loves visiting neighbor kids. The only draw back with her is she is an escape artist. She loves to be with her family and will do what she can to complete that mission. Laverne is spayed, vaccinated, & on preventions. She has a reduced adoption fee because she is heartworm positive of $50
