Malibu came from a very large colony of about 20 cats, most of them young. She was the matriarch and when we met her, she was nursing a few generations of cats. She is only 2-3 years old but she looked so tired and defeated. The property owner informed us that she was constantly having litters. She let us pet her at the location and when we brought her back to our office, we decided to give her an opportunity at having a better life indoors. So, after her spay, we gave her time to acclimate in a condo and after a few days she came out on her own and she immediately got along with all the other cats. We noticed that Malibu has some hearing loss. But it does not seem to interfere with her daily life. She is still shy and mildly unsocialized but she is definitely coming around. She is part of the cat family at our office and she seems very relaxed. She has gained a little weight and her coat is clean and looks healthy. She will need to go to a home with another cat as that is where she finds comfort and companionship. She grew up around cats and she deserves to have feline friends.
