Joanie
AvailableJoanie is a senior Torbie cat with a short, beautiful tabby and tortoiseshell coat. She is a spayed female and up to date on vaccinations. Joanie is house trained and lives in Columbus, OH. About Joanie
Joanie spent years fending for herself in a trailer park, relying on kind volunteers for meals until new management forced her out. She landed in our care in December 2024, carrying the wariness of a cat who had to survive on her own. While Joanie is shy when approached, it's clear she's quietly determined—she now welcomes pets and will even nudge your hand for more. Her little round face and gentle nature show she's trying hard to trust. She sometimes ducks when someone comes close but never bolts, preferring to cautiously let you offer affection. Surrounded by the office cats, Joanie has started to relax. She eats with them and finds her own cozy spots, a sign she's learning to feel safe. At around 8 years old, Joanie is a resilient, sweet-tempered cat whose progress continues to impress us. She gets along well with other cats and will fit right in with a patient adopter. Joanie needs someone willing to continue showing her kindness, letting her set the pace. She's a real gem who deserves a peaceful, loving home after so much hardship.
