About Paula

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Paula is a one-year-old mixed breed who came to the shelter in very poor condition alongside another dog, Paris. When she arrived, Paula was severely underweight and required gentle, frequent feedings to help her recover. As she gained strength and weight, her personality has blossomed—she’s now much more comfortable around people and shows her sweet disposition daily. Paula is a vibrant cutie with a striking yellow, tan, cream, and black short coat. She’s very athletic and loves to walk at a brisk pace. Her energy and strength mean she can jump or climb fences, so secure outdoor spaces are a must. While she did well with Paris initially, Paula eventually showed that she prefers to be an only dog and isn’t comfortable around other dogs. She is believed to be housebroken and has learned to slow her eating with a puzzle bowl or slow feeder for better health. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
