About Gus

Gus came into rescue after being abandoned on Christmas Eve and picked up by animal control. He was severely overweight and fending for himself. Lucky for him, a foster family stepped in to get his health—and his coat—back on track. Not long after settling in, Gus had a seizure. Thanks to quick care from a veterinary neuro team, he's seizure-free now and needs just a low dose of medication to keep things steady. Through daily walks and steady encouragement, Gus has slimmed down and looks younger by the week. His temperament is unmistakably gentle and he has a real fondness for children. Walks and outings are his thing, and he’s all about time spent as a companion. He gets along great with other dogs but isn’t suitable for a home with cats. Gus is about 4 to 5 years old, already neutered, house trained, and current on his vaccinations. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
