ERNESTINE is an 8 year old Husky taken in on 7/22/25 as a lost dog. In distress and lethargic the next day, she was taken to the vet where she tested negative for heart worm and 4 tick borne diseases. After 3 days at the vet, all we were able to determine is that she's anemic and has a cough. Since returning from her hospitalization, Ernestine has improved. She's a good walker, but will pull you strongly toward any scent deemed worthy of a serious sniff. Ernestine has a fantastic smile and great downward dog. She wasn't interested in the squeak of the toy, but once she saw it in my hand, Ernestine became laser focused. She has a high prey drive and will fare best in a home without cats. Ernestine's adoption fee is $75 and helps cover the cost of her spay, vaccinations, worming, monthly flea and heart worm preventive and care while at CCHS. Ernestine was microchipped, but the information associated with the chip is no longer the owner.
