But for those willing to be patient, her transformation in foster care has been remarkable—a loyal, gentle companion once she feels safe. She is housebroken and crate trained; the crate isn’t a punishment for her, it’s a safe den she chooses herself. Biscuit likes a balance of indoor and outdoor time, and she’ll let you know when she’s ready to swap one for the other. Though she gravitates toward Denali, she enjoys hanging out and playing with other dogs at her foster home. She requires a secure yard with a fence she can’t jump, as she’s agile when she wants to be. Carrots are her favorite treat, and curling up on the couch beside her foster mom is her idea of comfort. Biscuit walks calmly on a leash but prefers to keep unfamiliar people and dogs at a respectful distance. She’s not reactive, just selective about her company.
