About Ivy
Start your journey together! Apply now. Ivy is an energetic and spirited 8-month-old German Shepherd Dog who is ready for her perfect match, this time with all the lessons learned from her first try. Once placed as an only dog, Ivy’s confidence faded without canine companions, so she returns now seeking a home where another confident, well-balanced, large dog is present—this is a must for Ivy’s happiness and well-being. Always on the move, Ivy is a bundle of energy with a mischievous streak and a talent for keeping other dogs active and entertained. She thrives with active playmates and will gently pester them to keep the fun going. If you have a large, playful dog looking for a partner in fun (and perhaps a bit of trouble), Ivy might be a great fit. Ivy is crate and potty trained, but still learning her house manners—puppy proofing will be an ongoing process as she explores and tests boundaries. She’s mastered the 'sit' command and responds well to treats but is still working on her recall, with a strong-willed personality that shows in her decision-making. Treat time is especially effective in winning her attention! Having made it through her mouthing phase, Ivy is beyond her needle-toothed days, but she is still very much a puppy who will keep you and your canine companions on your toes. If the thought of a lively, loving challenge excites you, and you’re prepared to help Ivy grow with patience, consistent training, and lots of play, she could be exactly the right addition. Ivy is best suited for homes without young children or small dogs. She’ll continue building her skills with her foster siblings while she waits for her new family. Puppies need time, training, consistent care, and patience to become great companions. Are you ready to embark on the adventure with Ivy? They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
