Samson came to us COVERED in fleas. He was found guarding his home, even after his owner had moved out and left him behind. But once I convinced him to move away from the home and lured him a few houses down with treats and a baby voice, he let me give him chin scratches and let me leash him. He gave me no problems hopping up in the work vehicle, tail wagging. Samson has done great with dogs so far. He’s had two females as kennel neighbors and just wants to play. However he does seem like he may have been raised as a breeder, because he did try humping me when I showed up smelling like one of our females in heat. We are hoping now that he is neutered that his hormones will chill out. He hasn’t humped anyone since lol. Samson has a lot of energy after being chained up for the first year of his life. We are guesstimating that he is 1-2 years old. He needs to learn not to jump in his excitement. When tested with a 3 and 6 year old, he greeted them politely but didn’t seem too interested. He can be very aloof, but we’re hoping he’ll come around. Samson prefers doing his own thing in the play yard and coming up to you on his terms.
