About Wichita

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Wichita is a one-of-a-kind girl whose raised hair along her neck gives her a look reminiscent of a Rhodesian Ridgeback, adding to her already striking charm. Her reddish-brown undercoat is beautifully accented by highlights of black and touches of white—she truly turns heads wherever she goes. This special lady faced a tough start—arriving with a broken leg that thankfully healed without surgery after weeks of dedicated crate rest in a loving foster home. Despite her boredom as a puppy, Wichita never destroyed her toys or bedding and always signaled when she needed to go outside, never having an accident in her crate. She has a loving, resilient spirit that shines through, and she's blossomed into an energetic, athletic dog who loves to run, play, and jump. Wichita gets along wonderfully with other dogs and thrives in an active household, ready for someone to continue giving her all the fun, adventure, and lasting love she deserves! Fun fact: Born on July 6th, Wichita is a Cancer—so expect her to be especially loyal and in-tune with her family's emotions. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
