About Beau Yr

Beau is living in a foster home in Mentor, OH, and he's ready for a soft landing in his golden years. This senior Cocker Spaniel is around 12-13 years old, though no one knows for sure since he was found as a stray. Years of neglect left Beau deaf, with ear canals that closed up after chronic infections. After months of dedicated ear care and $1,500 raised through donations, his infections have been held at bay, but daily ear flushing is a must to keep him healthy. He hasn’t received the costly TECA surgery (which would remove his ear canals) due to expense, so his adopter will need to be diligent about his ongoing ear care. Beau is an easy-going, affectionate dog who loves playing fetch—he’d happily chase a ball for hours if you let him. He’s on thyroid medication, which has helped with his weight, and he’s neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Beau is house trained and does best in a home ready for the quirks and needs that come with age and special care. This lovable guy just wants a place to call his own and a person to share his time with. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
