About Duck
Meet Duck, the last of his trio still hoping for a family. Earlier this year, he and his siblings ended up at the shelter after being left in a truck on a warm day. Both siblings have found homes, but Duck remains—waiting, quieter by the day, always looking for someone to sit with. Staff have watched him become more set in his ways, a bit quirkier, and endearing in the way older dogs are. Duck has a big personality, loves his toys, and adores running. He can be shy at first but once he trusts you, he sticks by you with real loyalty. Duck gets along with cats, and with dogs as long as the introductions are slow and respectful. He’d thrive in a home with kids 12 and up who know how to respect a dog’s space, especially while he adjusts. Right now, Duck’s just waiting, hoping someone finally notices him and wants to give him what he’s missed most: a real home. If you’re drawn to underdogs, Duck’s waiting for you to show him just how good life can get. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Duck
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Duck, with his Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Husky mix, does best in a home where he can get both attention and exercise. A house with a yard or access to outdoor space suits him well. He thrives where there’s routine and room for his personality.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Duck would appreciate a decent amount of outdoor space. A securely fenced yard or regular walks provide him with the movement and stimulation typical of Huskies and Staffordshire mixes.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Duck’s mix is known for being affectionate with the right family, but older, respectful children are best. Kids 12 and up who can give him space and time to settle in are a good match.
