Meet Simba. Simba’s early life was rocky: he and his brothers, Mufasa and Zazu, were abandoned as kittens before a kind person scooped them up. Raised alongside his siblings by a devoted mama, Simba started off shy with people but quickly relaxed in the shelter’s care. Now he’s right at home, greeting you with chatty meows, leaping for the laser pointer, or sprawling on any available surface like a sleepy noodle. The staff gets a kick out of watching him lounge, draped anywhere he pleases. Good-natured, silly, and gentle, Simba has a playful streak and doesn’t hold back with affection—he welcomes scritches from people and other cats. True to his name, he’s brave and easygoing. Simba’s subtle white chest hair and the dot on his left shoulder mark him as unique among black cats.
