About Greta
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Greta is a beautiful, gentle soul with a funny and affectionate personality who’s ready to become your loyal companion. She’s a curious girl who delights in car rides, exploring the outdoors (especially on the greenway), and lounging on the couch with her favorite person. Her love of treats means she’ll do almost anything for a snack—bananas and doggy ice cream are her favorites! Greta even entertains herself by tossing her toys up and down the stairs and often sleeps in hilarious poses. While she enjoys a goofy romp, Greta is also a sensitive pup who thrives in a calm and gentle home. Loud, sudden human noises may make her uneasy, but thunderstorms don’t bother her one bit. Training is going wonderfully—she already knows "sit," enjoys her crate when the door stays open, and is working hard on "stay." Greta is smart, treat-motivated, and comfortable wearing a harness; her car rides would benefit from a seatbelt attachment to ensure everyone’s safety. Her webbed paws are a quirky trait, and her jogging gait—trotting at a funny angle—is sure to make you smile. Greta can be a bit shy and cautious at first, but given patience, time, and encouragement, she opens up quickly. Due to some separation anxiety, she’d benefit from a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods, at least initially. She enjoys the company of adults and other dogs, though she will need a cat-free home. Greta’s mealtimes are a highlight for her, and she loves choosing which toy to play with next! Her intelligence shines—she knows sit, down, shake, leave it, and wait, and responds well to corrections. Walks are a work in progress; she was initially hyper-alert and pulled on her leash, but she’s learning to settle in with time. If you’re looking for a smart, silly, and affectionate shadow who’s sure to make you laugh and melt your heart, Greta could be your perfect match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
