Oreo walks the line between timidity and affection. He has a friendly streak and can be shy at first, but a pocketful of treats will quickly earn his trust. Getting Oreo leashed up is straightforwardāsometimes he gets a bit carried away at the start but soon settles into a calm pace once the adventure begins. Heās polite with other dogs on walks, taking in the world with a healthy dose of curiosity, and shows respect to his surroundings. Snow is clearly his element; rain much less so. Oreo has excellent manners and takes treats gently, offering up sits and a paw with no prompting. He does best where thereās room to decompress, explore, and spend quality time outside the shelter environment. While not yet house trained, heās eager to learn the ropes.
