About Cohen
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Cohen, your future best friend! Cohen is a 2 1/2-year-old Doberman mix who has been with the rescue since he was just 3 months old, and now he is all grown up and dreaming of finding his forever home. This lovable, loyal, and laid-back pup has a heart full of love and a wagging tail that just won't quit. Cohen is gentle, affectionate, and gets along well with kids, adults, and other dogs. He's not much of a barker – instead, he prefers to shower you with snuggles and be by your side. Cohen is also a quick learner and eager to please, although he hasn't lived in a house before, so he'll need your help to master house training. He's always up for adventure, whether it's a walk in the park, a road trip, or simply hanging out in the yard. Cohen is truly happiest when he’s with his people. He came to the rescue with his brothers, and while two have already found their homes, Cohen and his brother are still waiting and would love the chance to be a part of your family – maybe even together! He hasn't met any cats yet, but he’s open to new experiences and ready to learn. Cohen is already neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, so he’s healthy and ready for adoption at Central Arizona Animal Rescue in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs, be sure to bring them for an introduction before adoption. Cohen is waiting with a hopeful heart and a wagging tail to meet you! What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Cohen
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shepherd mixes like the Doberman mix are adaptable but typically do best in homes with ample space to move around. They enjoy being part of a family and thrive in environments that offer both companionship and stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, securely fenced yard is ideal for a Doberman mix, in addition to daily walks and play sessions. While they can adapt to smaller spaces if given enough exercise, they do best when they have room to stretch and run.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Doberman mixes are often friendly and gentle with children, especially when socialized early. They are loyal and protective, making them good family companions, though supervision during interactions is always recommended.
