About Wendy
Wendy arrived at the rescue alongside her closest companion, Peter Pan, and these two small Dachshunds are inseparable. At about four years old, Wendy is a striking red longhair who has completed all her vet care and is ready for a new foster or forever home—always with Peter Pan by her side. She’s naturally timid and quiet, happiest being held or soaking up attention. Her gentle spirit comes out around people she knows, loving nothing more than to cuddle and be close. Wendy prefers to be with Peter Pan exclusively, sticking close to him on walks and becoming anxious if separated. She is working on her potty habits and tends to pick up Peter’s routines, favoring indoor spots but learning to use the yard. She loves treats, enjoys time relaxing outdoors, and is leash, crate, and baby gate trained. Wendy gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, but her bond with Peter is her priority.
