About Sam Drucker
In December I will have had Sam as a foster for a year. Doesn't seem that long, he's been an absolute joy to have in my kennel. Everyone thinks their dog is special, the difference is I KNOW Sam is special. I've said it before, he a soul mate dog, and those don't come along every day. He connects w/his person and you become a team. It's a different type of relationship. And I am lucky to have it with Sam. And the person who adopts him will be even luckier than me. Sam is the most confident, level headed dog I have ever met. He's just on a different level than most dogs. He takes everything in stride and I'm not sure I have ever seen him over react, well, maybe when he first started seeing deer. Today I took him to the park, it was hot but we did a good walk. I brought him back and put him in a different run, so now he had a neighbor. He walked in, ran around the yard, Said, Huh, cool Mom, went over to the fence met his neighbor, said, Howdy new neighbor, his neighbor, also a good guy, said Howdy back at ya. And that was pretty much that. No worries for mom. Some fun facts about Sam.....He loves to play ball, and is really good at it. Catches fly balls, brings every ball right to your feet. He's a total weenie about water, I can not get him to swim. Great in the car, walks around a little but never bother me, loves going places, meets people well, doesn't want strange men patting him until he knows who they are, but doesn't take long, likes his patties and snuggles but isn't in your lap type of dog. Bottom line, he's awesome.
