Thunderbird Special Needs
AvailableThunderbird is a young neutered male Domestic Short Hair in Orlando, FL. At just over two years old, he has a short coat and is house trained. He’s up to date on vaccinations and lives with mild neurological symptoms from cerebellar hypoplasia, but otherwise is thriving in his foster care. Thunderbird is gentle and adjusts with time; he gets along well with other cats.
About Thunderbird Special Needs
Thunderbird was rescued with his siblings from a ranch that had become a frequent drop-off spot for unwanted cats. He’s grown up in a loving foster home and, despite a neurological condition that arose after he was neutered, Thunderbird is very much an active, playful young cat. He occasionally loses his balance—sometimes he’s a little wobbly—but none of this keeps him from running, jumping, or playing just like any other cat his age. When startled or anxious, Thunderbird’s symptoms become more noticeable, and he may dart away or circle until he finds a safe spot to hide. His sister Wildflower has been a steady source of comfort for him, helping him to feel settled and at home. Once Thunderbird has time to feel secure, his affection shines through; he’s gentle, sweet, and deeply loving to those he trusts. He’ll do best in a calm, understanding environment and ideally would be adopted with Wildflower, as their bond is clear and meaningful. He has mild cerebellar hypoplasia that sometimes affects his balance, so patience and care with transitions are important. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
