AvailableHera is a two-year-old, medium-sized, spayed female cat who lives in Hillsboro, OR. She’s up to date on her vaccinations and is fully house trained. Hera is a domestic medium hair/tabby mix and needs an indoor-only home where she’ll get a steady routine and patient care.
About Hera Offered
Hera is a two-year-old former feral who has made real progress learning to trust people. Still, she likes to set the terms of her affection and can shift quickly from happy to a bit agitated, especially around other dominant female cats. Hera prefers calm company and is happiest when she feels safe and not overwhelmed by too many animals. Shelves, cat trees with soft beds, and a quiet balcony where she can lounge all get her purring—as long as the area is safely enclosed. She’s got a big appetite for wet food and a fondness for laser and feather toys. You’ll find moments where Hera wants to lay near you just for the company, though she isn’t always up for being petted or picked up. With time, patience, and a stable home, she’ll keep thawing and showing more of her sweet side. Hera would thrive as an only cat, or possibly with a laidback male. She did okay with an older dog in her current home and mostly ignored him. Her people want to rehome her because she isn’t getting along with another female cat and deserves a quieter space and more one-on-one attention. Hera currently lives indoors in Gresham, and she’s looking for her next person to settle in with. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Hera Offered
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic medium hair tabby cats like Hera do best in indoor environments where they feel safe and can establish a steady routine. Hera in particular would benefit from a home without dominant female cats, and with lots of cozy areas to lounge.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Hera and other domestic cats don’t require outdoor access, and Hera should be indoor-only. She enjoys safely enclosed balconies or window watching areas instead of unsupervised outdoor space.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Hera, as a domestic medium hair/tabby, can do well with gentle, respectful children, especially since she now trusts people more. However, her preference for quieter environments means adult households or homes with older children may suit her better.
