About Pecan Pie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Sweet as her namesake, Pecan Pie is a young girl who has already mastered some basic training and knows several commands. She walks nicely on a leash, appears to be crate trained, and is very playful—especially when toys are involved. While she arrived at the shelter extremely fearful and shy, with some patient socialization, she has truly blossomed into an affectionate and wonderful companion. For her continued growth, her adopter should be ready to continue socializing and introducing her gently to new experiences. Though she hasn’t had many canine friends yet, she is open to meeting other friendly dogs through a meet and greet. She has not shown reactivity to the resident cats in the community room, though this is the extent of her interactions with cats so far. Because of her nerves, she would do best in a home with older children who can respect her boundaries. Pecan Pie is waiting to make your holidays, and every day after, just a bit sweeter. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
