Buddy Turkish Van has a white coat marked with a distinct heart-shaped patch that stands out the moment you meet him. He took some time to come around but has grown into a deeply affectionate, bonded companion. After three years together, his person is retiring overseas and sadly cannot take Buddy along. At around five years old, he’s sensitive, funny, and strikingly handsome. Buddy responds best to gentle, calm correction—when overstimulated, he’ll give soft love bites, but never in anger or with harm intended. A simple, "no biting" and placing him down does the trick. His claws get regular trims, which he tolerates (with a towel wrap and covered face, plus treats for good measure). He purrs through it all, even if he finds the spa routine odd. He gets along well with other cats, particularly enjoying playful tussles that never cross the line. Buddy hasn’t lived with dogs, so his reaction to them is a question mark, but he’s proven himself companionable with feline housemates. He enjoys being handled in small doses—a tour of a windowsill or bookshelf, then a nap on the couch or cozying up at your feet or under the covers at night.
