About Usher

Usher was found tied up outside the city pound on Super Bowl Sunday and has taken all the disappointment in stride. He’s a big, happy, friendly guy who genuinely has no idea he’s not lapdog-sized. Play is his whole world—he roughhouses with other dogs and keeps himself entertained, even when left to his own devices. Usher's nickname is Doofus, and it fits him. He isn’t the sharpest but makes up for it with pure goofball charm and a ridiculous amount of good nature. Walking with Usher involves plenty of sniffing and zig-zagging; he does best with a harness and isn’t shy about pulling if given the chance. Motivation for training has to come from the person holding the leash—he’d benefit from some structured obedience work, for sure. He’s completely convinced everyone he meets should be his friend, no exceptions. Usher gets along with other dogs, is fine with cats, and is good around children. Affectionate and comical, he’s just himself—happiest when simply being Usher. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
