Sonny was rescued from a local shelter along with Cher. Both cats started off extremely shy and were slow to interact with people. However, Sonny does get along with other cats and dogs, as we've observed. The rescue is now seeking a foster home for Sonny without other pets to ensure he receives dedicated human attention and can get more comfortable with touch and affection. A patient home that understands Sonny needs time to acclimate is essential. This rescue is volunteer-run and operates on generosity and time, so please note there is a careful screening process which includes home visits and reference checks. They only adopt within a defined radius near Chicago, IL due to these requirements.
