About Rocky

Rocky is a Cane Corso mix who came to the rescue after being found with his brother, Toby, roaming a neighborhood without much training or structure. Born in November 2021, Rocky has spent time at the sanctuary campus, where he enjoys comforts like a bed, TV, radio, and his own outdoor pen. He’s a big dog, weighing about 70 lbs, and definitely takes after the Corso side of his lineage in terms of size and temperament. Rocky loves long walks and is strong on a leash, knows basic commands, and shows affection toward staff, but needs some time and multiple meetings to feel secure with new people. He’s not social with other dogs or cats and should not live with children under 18. This dog is smart and protective, and really needs a calm, breed-savvy home that understands Cane Corso traits and is willing to invest in building his trust. Rocky enjoys car rides and soaking up the sun in his pen, ‘chatting’ with his brother next door. Give him patience and the right environment, and you’ll get a loyal companion in return.
