About Kilo
Kilo has been waiting in the shelter for four years. When he first arrived, he struggled with fear and uncertainty. Since then, thanks to steady support and attention from the team and volunteers, Kilo has gained confidence and trust around people. He just finished the Second Leash on Life cell dog program, a special training partnership with Caloosa Humane Society and Moore Haven Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility. Through the program, Kilo has picked up a strong skill set: he’s house-broken, crate trained, walks calmly on a loose leash, knows how to sit and lie down when asked, stays put until released, and comes reliably when called. He’s even considered test-ready for the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. Steady routine and an understanding adopter will matter to him; a meet and greet is encouraged to see if it’s the right fit. Your patience could help Kilo leave the shelter life behind for good.
